    I'm having trouble getting administrator-level access. Every time I request access, I encounter this error: "Error: Access request failed due to an unknown error." On the side of the person granting access, everything appears normal, and it seems like access has been granted. However, in reality, I only have view-only mode. We've attempted removing and re-adding the user, and even experimented with providing access to different email accounts, but the problem persists - only view-only mode. How can I resolve this error, and where should I seek assistance for this issue?

    Thanks for the help! We went ahead and found the invitation there. Interestingly, no emails or notifications came through, so everyone had to log in to discover it. Another quirky thing was that, even without accepting the invite, they could see details as users but couldn't manage other users (no Admin permissions).

    All good now, but definitely room for making the user experience smoother!

    I serve as an administrator for a GTM account. Recently, we've encountered an issue where new users added to our GTM account are not receiving invitations. Despite thorough checks, including the SPAM folder, these invitations seem to be missing from their mailboxes. This situation has been noted for several users added in the last couple of months.

    With a current user count of 40 in our GTM account, I'm curious if there is a limit on the number of users allowed in a GTM account. Additionally, I'm interested in understanding if there might be other reasons contributing to the non-delivery of invitations to new users. As observed in the user list, their status is marked as 'Invitation pending.'

    I recently noticed a new event,gtm.formInteract, being triggered in my containers. I implemented some tags, and everything was functioning properly. However, the event has disappeared, and consequently, my tags are no longer operational. Does anyone have information on whether Google plans to support this new event?

    Hello,

    I currently have a consent solution installed where my CMP generates a cookie containing all the permitted services chosen by the user in the cookie banner. In GTM, I extract information from this cookie to create triggers for tags requiring these permissions.

    If a service is enabled by the user, the corresponding tag fires, and analytics or advertising cookies are stored. If not, the tags do not fire. This approach allows me to comply with GDPR without using "consent mode" in GTM.

    My question is: Is it necessary to enable consent mode for Google to understand that I have checked for user consent?

    I'm concerned that, since I'm using regular triggers instead of the triggers from consent mode (e.g., ad_storage="granted" or analytics_store="granted"), Google and other tags may not recognize that the regular triggers represent user permission to enable cookies. Consequently, there's a worry that without configuring consent mode, GTM might default to denied values (e.g., ad_storage="denied" or analytics_store="denied").

    To rephrase the last part: If I don't set up consent mode in GTM, will GTM assume default values like ad_storage="denied" or analytics_store="denied," resulting in incomplete tracking information being sent and the use of anonymous identifiers instead?

    Need help to delete a pixel that was integrated via GTM Google Tag Manager Dec. 21, 2023, 6:44 a.m.

    We require the removal of a pixel that was integrated through GTM a year ago by a former colleague. Unfortunately, we lack any information regarding their GTM account. While the optimal solution would be to remove the pixel via GTM, we have lost access to the account, preventing us from doing so. I kindly seek your assistance in removing the pixel from our website.

    If we alter the pageview trigger in GTM, shifting from landing page A (/thank-you) to landing page B (/thank-you12) while maintaining the same conversion action, does this reset the learnings in Google Ads?

    The switch from thank-you page A to thank-you page B for our conversions led to challenges in our account, resulting in a notable decrease in conversions. Our hypothesis is that modifying the pages has disrupted the algorithm in Google Ads.

    Generating the invitation from marketingplatform.google.com did not result in an email being sent. However, there was an invitation visible in the Tag Manager interface of the invited user, complete with full admin permissions.

    The owner of a Tag Manager account is within a Google Workspace domain, and this user is scheduled for deletion.

    To address this, we arranged for a second owner within the new Google Workspace domain to take ownership of the Tag Manager account. Ownership rights were added; however, it appears that these rights are only partial.

    The notification received states: "You have access to this account, but you don't have permission to manage this account's users. Without user management permissions, you can't add/remove users or change other users' permissions. To manage this account's users, one of this account's administrators must grant you user management permissions. Request access."

    Upon attempting to request access, an error occurs with the message: "Error: Access request failed due to an unknown error."

    Given the urgency, as the current owner's account is slated for deletion soon, please help me to avoid the potential loss of account access.

    These code snippets were inserted into the pages of a WordPress site, either by the theme or Site Kit, after I performed the GA upgrade from Universal Analytics to GA4. I'd like to confirm if they appear to be correct.

    Additionally, if the Site Kit plugin is installed, is it still necessary to manually add GA code via a WordPress theme, or does Site Kit handle all of this for us?

    Thank you for your response, @agkhy . I'm relatively new to Google Analytics (GA) and have been delving into its functionalities. Could you provide more detailed guidance? My objective is to track which FAQs users are accessing, and it's possible that they may open more than one FAQ.

    I'm uncertain whether I should modify an existing event (and if so, which event that would be) – which, if I understand correctly, would overwrite the previous unmodified event. Alternatively, should I create a single custom event and then add 20 custom dimensions to that event, each named individually for the 20 FAQs?

    Subsequently, I assume I need to place these 20 event/dimension tags at specified locations within the corresponding FAQ sections in the HTML code, is that correct? Can Google Tag Manager accurately insert these codes into each FAQ, or would I require someone with HTML coding expertise to do so?

    Alternatively, do I need to create 20 separate custom events, with each one individually named for each FAQ? Once again, I assume that I would need to insert these tags at designated locations within the respective FAQs.

    GA4 shows long string of letters & numbers on "page page and screen class" for conversions Other GA Questions Sept. 21, 2023, 6:15 a.m.

    I was reviewing the conversions for submitted forms, and when I tried to expand the results to see more details, the conversion and event numbers were getting truncated. I eventually discovered that this issue was caused by a single result that consisted of a long string of random numbers and letters.

    I managed to narrow down the date and source of this particular result. However, the email campaign it supposedly originates from does not contain any such link. Do you have any insights into why this is happening or how I can remove it to facilitate a smoother data viewing experience? Thank you.
